Why is design an important part of revitalizing communities?
Design is powerful, and has the ability to give greater value, meaning, and purpose to places. Design should be accessible to all to help make communities more beautiful, appreciated, and functional.

What has been most surprising, rewarding, or fun about your Collaborative experience?
I have learned so much from my teammates, the wonderful folks at the Collaborative, and the clients. I have connected with people that I might not have been able to meet otherwise.

What do you love most about Philadelphia?
Philadelphia is diverse, being simultaneously gritty and beautiful, structured and wild, large and intimate. We have an amazing design community, and I love that there are great groups (like the CDC, DAG, Preservation Alliance, and AIA) that bring us all together.

Is there anything else you'd like to share about yourself?
My passions for architecture lie at the intersection of design, civic and community engagement, and teaching and mentorship. In my spare time, you can find me exploring the city with my husband and young daughter.
