Q. Why is design an important part of revitalizing communities?
R. Good design almost always serves as an improvement to the lives of individuals and their neighborhoods. When positive changes are made, even small ones, the whole community gets a breath of new life. It's so important to enhance our city's beauty by giving back where we can.
Q. What has been most surprising, rewarding, or fun about working on a project with the Collaborative?
R. It's so rewarding to see the improvements that occur within communities as a result of our ideas. It's been great to use our talents to aid in bringing positive design into the lives of people who may not be able to do so otherwise.
Q. What do you love most about Philly?
R. Philadelphia is truly an underdog city with a lot of pride. The overall community vibe I get from the whole city is what makes me proud to call Philly my home.
