Why is design an important part of revitalizing communities?
Our buildings affect us in seen and unseen ways every day.  We must be free to seek beauty and revitalization within our communities as we do within ourselves.  Design supports this as a problem solving beauty finding vehicle, at its best.  It brings us together to find the best solutions with what we've been given. 

What has been most surprising, rewarding, or fun about your Collaborative experience?
I really enjoyed meeting people that were not in my normal client sector.  It was so fun to work out design challenges outside of what we usually work on. 

What do you love most about Philadelphia?
Recently?  Well, that "bad things happen in Philadelphia" really means that we count every vote and were the city that turned the state that turned the nation to overthrow a neo-fascist regime.  But other than that, its just such a beautiful, multi-racial democratic, affordable, down to earth city to live in.  And pretzels.  Def the best pretzels.  And wawa.
