2017 – Jake is an architect who recently led a big team of architects, landscape architects, lighting designers, and artists who worked with community stakeholders onstreetscape improvements and public art to connect residents on either side of a massive rail viaduct.
He says, “the most rewarding aspect of this project was the exposure to a multitude of city agencies, organizations, design professionals, neighborhoods, and community members that I had not had prior exposure to. This was a very positive experience and I would encourage others to participate and connect with the greater community.
Jake led the volunteer team that received the Collaborative's 2016 Outstanding Team Awardfor exemplary interdisciplinary collaboration on streetscape improvements and public art for under SEPTA viaducts in North Central Philadelphia.
