Q: Why is design an important part of revitalizing communities?

A: Design is about solving problems in an elegant way. There is a severe shortage of this in under-served communities and in our society in general. The Design Collaborative connects these dots in a super-smart way.

Q: What has been most surprising, rewarding, or fun about your Collaborative experience?

A: Working with people who are so grateful for the work that we do for them is very rewarding. But they also present very real challenges; practical, human, and sometimes surprising.

Q: What do you love most about Philadelphia?

A: Walkability. Color. Diversity.
