Wynnefield Overbrook Revitalization Corporation

The Wynnefield Overbrook Revitalization Corp. sought advice on how to redevelop the vacant Wynne Theater, an 85-year-old landmark in West Philadelphia with an iconic metal truss sign on the roof. In 2010, designers completed conceptual site plans, cost estimates, and renderings for reuse options that would preserve the theater’s headhouse and redevelop the footprint of the deteriorated theater space as a park, off-street parking, a community center, and apartments.

Volunteer Design Team

"The most rewarding aspect of volunteering with the Collaborative is how much I learn about all different aspects of design - from playgrounds to plumbing! It's all so interesting."
