Belmont Village Community Association

Belmont Village is an intimate neighborhood of 1920s era Spanish and Tudor Revival homes near City Avenue in Philadelphia. The Collaborative worked with this early example of an automobile-oriented suburb to redesign its main thoroughfare, Conshohocken Avenue, to provide traffic calming, green stormwater infrastructure, safe pedestrian crossings, and an inviting neighborhood gateway with signage and plantings.

"The most rewarding aspect of volunteering with the Collaborative is how much I learn about all different aspects of design - from playgrounds to plumbing! It's all so interesting."
