A phased expansion plan for Weavers Way Ogontz, a new food co-op
serving the West Oak Lane community, was created by Agoos/Lover
architects. The conceptual design was completed for the Community
Design Collaborative through Infill Philadelphia: Food Access and
shows how the co-op can expand over time to fulfill an urban
neighborhood's need for locally-grown, healthy food and act as a
community anchor. This project offers strategies for expansion and
security features such as lighting and grilles that can be adapted
for other neighborhood-based stores.
