Habitat for Humanity Philadelphia

Location West Philadelphia
Services Feasibility study and conceptual design for affordable housing (1999)

Collaborative volunteers developed several design alternatives for new infill housing on the 4200 block of Stiles Street. They also worked with Habitat and East Parkside community leaders to build consensus on the best option.

Habitat broke ground on the project in summer 2007. Stiles Street Housing will be Philadelphia's first green, affordable housing. The project was part of a United States Green Building Council demonstration program for the LEED for Homes rating system.
