Conceptual Landscape Design
The Inn Yard Park is a 1.5-acre piece
of Fairmount Park located a few steps away from Kelly Drive
and the Falls Bridge. It offers a front-row seat on Fairmount
Park's most popular path for cyclists and joggers and the
reviving East Falls retail district.
The Community Design Collaborative organized a group of volunteers
to brainstorm park improvements with a community task force.
The volunteers developed several design alternatives that
helped the task force reach consensus on a design proposal
to take to the community, government agencies, and elected
officials. The Collaboartive's volunteers then prepared a
color rendering of the proposed park design for the Task Force
to present.
Volunteers: Chris Pugliese,
Landscape Architectural Designer; Robert Shoaff, Intern Architect;
and Taylor Boyd, Cost Estimator
