The Collaborative provides over 30 service grants to nonprofit organizations for predevelopment design services each year. In 2009, the Community Design Collaborative delivered nearly $610,000 in pro bono early design assistance to 29 nonprofit organizations throughout greater Philadelphia, awarded 34 new service grants with nonprofit organizations, and created opportunities for 55 design firms and 169 design professionals to volunteer their skills in service of neighborhoods. The Collaborative manages over 900 passionate volunteer architects, landscape architects, planners, engineers, and cost estimators who devote their time and expertise to help nonprofits leverage their resources.
